WWII Japanese Navy Box & Envelopes
Item: FM199

This box was brought home by a GI after WWII.  From the translation I received, the box originally housed a Type O bomb drop electrical key and is dated 1940.  It is marked for the navy.  Box was re-purposed to hold period Japanese envelopes, filled to the top, and two boxes of adhesive strips. Box is pretty neat, has a data plate, two catch hooks and a leather handle to the top of lid.  Solid wood construction. Measures about 8Wx6Dx5H".
